Ammend BILL 241
BILL 241 will restrict what car parts law abiding citizens can use
172.2 (1) No person shall drive or permit to be driven on a highway a motor vehicle with a prescribed part, containing a prescribed substance or equipped with prescribed equipment in prescribed circumstances
What does this mean?
This means that whatever parts the Provincial goverment deems performance or racing will make your vehicle illegal to drive on Ontarion roads. What items are these? We have no idea. No one does. I have contacted my MPP and he has no idea. It could be a fire extinguisher, it could be a 5 point safety harness, it could be a NOS kit, it could be a turbo charger, it could be a fuel injection system, it could be a set of performance tires.

What can you do? PROTEST on February 17 2003
On February 17 2003 a large group of protesters will be taking over a section of the 400 series highway. Two meeting places will be determined at a later date. During rushhour we will drive our vehicles onto the highway and drive to the designated spots and come to a stand still. Whats good about Bill 241
There are lots of good thing in Bill 241, we are not against the whole bill. Just the part that violates our rights to modify our car. Just because you have a knife in your house doesn't mean you stabbed someone. They are saying in Bill 241 if you have performance parts, you will be deemed guilty of racing. Stopping people from having performance parts will not stop racing on the streets.
Things in the Bill like:
Mandating Child Seats
Increasing Fines
Jail time and higher fines for convicted racers
Increased fines for speeding
These are all good things, putting a 5 point racing harness in your car and better tires should not be against the law.
